Energy brokerage and beyond: What does NGP Americas do?

There are many things to consider when shopping for an energy contract for your business, such as the reputation and quality of the energy suppliers, the services they provide, their energy plans and pricing, and things to know about their customer service. Getting adequate information to confidently make an informed decision on the type of energy contract a business needs takes a lot of time – the kind of time that most business owners or managers do not have.

This is where energy brokers come in to help. Acting as the intermediary between energy suppliers and the consumer, energy brokers work to find the best rates on energy supply from the providers and present them to their clients. In other words, when businesses need help navigating the dense and ever changing energy market, energy brokers are there to provide support and expertise.

Northern Gas and Power Americas (NGP Americas) is an energy brokerage company with a global team of energy industry professionals that currently serve business clients in eight states.

Did you know that we do more than just broker great energy deals for businesses? We also perform other energy-related services, showing small-, medium-, and large-businesses how to best find and use their energy. We guide clients through legislation compliance, teach them how to be energy efficient, validate their bills, and provide robust After Sales customer services for each of our clients.

In this post, we will walk you through the major services that our energy brokers and consultants at NGP Americas perform for business customers.

Energy brokerage

Our primary service is energy brokerage for businesses, otherwise known as energy procurement.

We currently operate in eight states. The level of deregulation of the energy market varies in each state, so we may be able to help you find either electricity and gas contracts, or just one or the other.

Here are the states in which we operate, and the type of energy supply we can help you procure*:

We do not stop at finding you your energy contract. Throughout the life of the contract, we are your account manager, meaning we are there to answer any questions about the energy contract and liaise with the supplier on issues or concerns you may have. We can also validate your energy bills for you to ensure that you are paying exactly what you are meant to. We will not let you pay for energy you did not use. Lastly, we give you plenty of notice of when the end of your current contract is nearing so that you do not end up falling into an unfavorable contract.

Get in touch with us today if you are ready to find your next business energy contract. We treat your business like our own, meaning we look for the best energy contract for you as if it was for our own business.

*This list of states and the type energy supply is accurate as of writing in August 2021. Please contact us if you have any questions about the services we provide in your state.

Energy audits

In addition to helping you find the best business electricity or gas contract, we can also help you identify ways to run your business’ energy most efficiently.

Our team can run an energy audit to help you analyze where, when, why and how energy is used in a process, building, site or organization; identify opportunities to reduce consumption, cost, emissions; and eliminate waste.

Audits identify low- and no-cost opportunities often involving operational, behavioural and maintenance issues. These can include simple things such as checking air leaks, replacing dirty filters, servicing motors, and powering off standby electronics and systems. These small changes can make a huge difference in your monthly energy usage and, thus, your monthly expenditures. Energy audits can also identify major technical solutions requiring capital expenditure, which achieve greater returns.

Renewable energy solutions

As we move towards a more sustainable future, it is becoming increasingly important for businesses of all sizes and in all industries to adopt renewable energy solutions. Not only do they address important climate issues and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but they also provide long-lasting energy security and new economic ventures.

Understandably, you may not know how or where to begin when it comes to adding renewable energy solutions on site. These are new technologies, and quickly advancing ones, afterall. Even so, you may have doubts about renewable energies, such as that they may negatively affect your production or bottomline.

We clear any doubts, answer any questions, and help you take steps to adding sustainable energy solutions for your business. Renewable sources can be solar, wind, geothermal, or bio-energy, all of which can be used for generating electricity, and for hot water heating, solar cooling, and a variety of commercial and industrial uses. We are ready and excited to help you transition to a more sustainable energy future.

Legislation compliance

Our team can help you meet the legislative requirements your energy assets need to meet according to your state and national agencies. Our assessors are up to date on all legislation according to the states in which we operate, so you can be certain that how you use and manage your energy is in compliance with the relevant authorities.

Secure your next business energy contract with NGP Americas

NGP Americas can help you procure a competitive business energy contract for your business and, as we have shown above, we are here to assist you throughout the life of the contract. We take care of the heavy work so that you can stay focussed on running your business. Get in touch with us today and we will help you land a cost-saving energy contract.
