NGP’s on-going recruitment: what you need to know.
2018 has already brought a massive recruitment intake by Northern Gas and Power. This has even been reported upon by local media as it looks to create a great many jobs.
Why is this a unique opportunity?
In 2017, we were voted the best place to work by our own employees. In the competitive industry we occupy, employee welfare is often overlooked. Hard targets, pressure and issues with management are commonplace, making for a poor working environment.
How are NGP different?
We recently were featured in a BBC world news segment discussing work/life balance in which we discussed our business philosophies and how we treat our employees. The NGP family is a focal point in our cultural strategy. In short, we own the problems of our industry, and constantly work to reduce the impact of these.
Our main priorities are:
- Ensuring employees are cared for during work time by employing dedicated NLP practitioner to ensure their mental wellbeing is looked after.
- Ensuring they have plenty of time to spend with their families and friends (the majority of December off in addition to the standard allowance of holidays).
- Having dedicated team managers who continuously coach the employees throughout their time at NGP.
- Create incentives and events to promote workplace integration.
By ensuring our workplace is supportive, social and positive, we ensure that we not only receive the best performance from our employees, but we also have a fantastic working environment made by our happy employees.
What this means for you.
If you are enthusiastic, driven, are good with people, and want to start earning some real money, then you already have what it takes. We’ll just help you hone your talents. We’ll show you the ropes. We’ll train you. We’ll give you a heap of benefits.
Not only do we ensure your training and knowledge is up to date, help to define and make best use of your skills, you will also be part of the NGP family. If you work or have worked within the energy industry you will not have experienced anything like the culture at NGP. We treat our colleagues with the respect they deserve, and ensure they are very well rewarded for all of their hard work.
Last year, we sent some of our superstars on a trip abroad, simply for their hard work. We are constantly giving back to our fantastic employees, and this in turn motivates them for the exceptional performance they always give us!
